Jellydog is suitable for babies 3 months and older, as younger infants may not have the self-awareness for it yet. Jellydog is made from 100% food-grade silicone, produced in a medical-grade factory to global standards. It is currently sold in 10 countries, with the materials and dimensions verified by babies and mothers in these areas.

Jellydog can withstand temperatures from -40°C to 200°C (-40°F to 392°F) in daily use, so it can be safely placed in the dishwasher, refrigerator, steamed, or boiled without damage. It can also be placed in a UV sterilizer, but no more than 30 minutes. Solid silicone rubber was chosen over nipple-like teethers to prevent "nipple confusion," where babies may bite their mothers' nipples if they become accustomed to the teether shape.
